Who does what

Every team is backed by a coordinator, a mentor and their families.

Coordinator's role

  1. Logistics, after-school club support and training provision
  2. Liaison with STEM Racing India
  3. Main contact with parents

Mentor's role

  1. First point of contact for the team
  2. Makes sure the team meets every week and manages its project around school assessments
  3. Mediates when a team disagrees, and reports to the coordinators

Parents' support

  1. Touch base regularly with your child and ask if they need support
  2. Check emails from the mentors
  3. Act as a critical friend: give feedback, but do not do the work
  4. Accompany students to meetings with sponsors and vendors. No one should travel alone to meet adults
  5. Check with the teachers if you are not sure about your child's request
  6. Monitor the team's social media accounts
